18months now

1.5years old Chloe.

Chloe entered 18months now but on her way to 18months she had to go thru a period of pain.
On 23/July, she developed swollen tonsils. We checked her out at her usual paed the same night after she had runny nose and mild fever for two days.
Upon returning home that night (after picking up mom from Empire and a dinner), she was still active and playing with AhMa and within 30mins after my bath, I came out from my room to find her lying on the floor.... so restless. We all thought she was just too sleepy as she was also non stop yawning. Daddy and AhMa doesn't look so much concerned but I was worried.
We decided to feed her milk with her medicine added into it. Well, she took and then guess what... 10mins later she vomitted all out. I have never seen her vomitted!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the very first time! (other than the baby time vomit). She was on daddy's arm then. At that time, all i was thinking is HOSPITAL, nothing else. I need medical experts advice on what to do.
However Daddy wasn't thinking so and AhMa said nothing to worry about, as in it's just vomit and fever. Just take medicine.
Anyway 30mins later, Daddy gave in to me and we went to Sunway Medical Emergency ward.
Well, my girl is in pain and I don't want to wait seeing her in such condition. I'm her mother afterall - i can feel her pain!
At the hospital, Chloe was 39.2degC !!! Nurse inserted a anal medicine into her and we were deciding to admit her, or not. I was thinking Yes, since she wasn't eating well, vomitted and high fever. Daddy on the other hand, was saying No. But at the end, it was a no, since her fever came down to 37.4C after about 30mins. The A&E ward costed me only RM75 for the visit.

Back home at almost 2.30am. Everyone was tired and so we slept.
We continued feeding her paracetomol syrups 4-6hourly and boy.... she is pointing her hands and feets and tummy, signing that she wants to go Gymboree that afternoon. Well, yes, her usual class is on Saturday. Although her fever was low, we decided not to go and let her nap that afternoon. She took a 2.5hour nap and when she woke up at almost 5pm, we brought her down to the playground and created a fun time for her. Here are some picx. WEE!!!!!!!!

SO, looks like Daddy and Daughter time ????

We thought she is all better but high fever returned on that Saturday midnight. I jumped up at her every noise she made the whole night thru and the 3rd time, I discovered the fever. My thermometer showed 38.4C. Quickly feed her paracetomol syrup and sponge her with towels. It went down slowly... The next morning, after a small feed, Chloe vomitted on her bed. Poor girl. But I think that is due to empty stomach and wind causes the puke.
(couldn't really recall the 2nd vomit was on Sat morning or Sun morning. :-))

Her fever did not return since Sunday evening! I am very thankful!
So Doc Lam was right. He said on Friday evening that Chloe's fever should go away after 48hours.

Chloe said BUE

While teaching her colors this few days, she utter BUE when we said BLUE. :P

Learning talking

Chloe is YET to talk.....
she can say mama, mamamommo.... papa, PO but not spontaneously.

Sometimes Daddy encourages her to speak Nienie... one of the bunnie's name. :)
she did, but ended up just once.

At MIL's, I can hear her shouts that sounded like Giorgio. hahahhaa

When she plays on her own, she does the baby talks....

I am hoping she is able to talk soon so I can understand her better and she doesn't have to be so depress each time we misunderstand her.
She's expressing her needs with her sign language for now.

Weekend breakaway 17July10

It was a planned day trip, anyway. And guess what, it was perfect whether that day!

We woke up at 830am, and Chloe also, per planned. But we were late to get out of the house. :P
Well, daddy most likely say mommy is so slow if you were to ask him why.
We went out for breakfast at 9.30am and it was to a mamak opposite our house.
Chloe likes roti canai so that's her treat, once a week.... :)

about 1015am, we reached auntie's house and started loading. I think we went off to highway near to 11am... ??? didn't notice the clock.
Anyway, the drive journey with Chloe wasn't bad. She was accomodating on her car seat BUT that has to come with FOODS! I have a pack of goodies for her, right below her car seat. She climbed up to look at all of them!!! Anyway, I still call that OK. :P

Within 2 hours of drive, we reached Sekinchan village and we went for lunch at KimKee Restaurant.
Auntie helped cooked Chloe's porridge but she only have half. And the other half time, she spent standing on the chair and look at cats. hehe... oh, i didn't snap any of those photos..... what a waste.
While waiting for food, a villager drag in a dead baby shark passing our table. it's at least 1.5M long!!! Poor shark.....
All above (except the big baby shark) cost us RM50 with balance!!!
The Shark meat porridge for 4 adults is rm14 only. :)

Then we went searching for paddy fields, only to know there is opening burningS at the paddy field, killing the old and making into new soil for the next season.
Well, kinda expected, but there are also some small areas that is green and a little yellow.
After that, we proceeded to the fishing village. It was low tide at 2pm then. We thought the ships will be back by 3-4pm but a villager told us they will not return in these few days because the tides is low for the next few days. Alamak, another loss.
So Chloe only get to see ships that don't move and no catches.

Soon after, Chloe dozed off in the car. hehe, it was after quite long she 'fishes' in her car seat before she finally sleeps. But that was the time when we found a better piece of land with nicer paddy field views!!!!!
Anyway, she only napped a bout 45mins-1hour, and woke up CRANKY.

We left sekinchan about 4pm and went to Kota Melawati, just for a while.

In the evening, by the help of GPS we search for a nearby restaurant at Kuala Selangor for dinner before heading home. Chloe then took rice and yes, she loves it! Rice with tofu and some vege. Got herbal chicken though, but she disliked. :)

Overall, i'm happy plus tired and Chloe is happy. I think i escaped being over-tired because auntie is also around. :)

17months.....

So another month passed.

Chloe now has almost full set of teeth. I think she's still missing the large molar behind, upper and lower and that's all....
During the mid of 16th month, she had a continuous 3weeks, 3-4times a day watery pass motion.
I brought her to Dr Lam twice, the 1st one without medication and the 2nd, I asked for some medicine as couldn't bear seeing the water pass motion anymore.
Doc prescribed Kaolin and Pectin then, but the box instruction is to give to children 6yrs and above. So, I ended up did not give it to Chloe. But she recovered 2 days after it. :P
So, I really relate her watery pass motion to her teething although some docs (most, maybe) says that teething will not cause stomach upset. :P

Since 17 months, she refuses to go Auntie house in the morning. Although she hasn't come to an extend where she does not want to get up the car, she will cry, does not want to get done the car, refuse auntie from carrying her when reaching the house. I HAVE to see her crying for me every morning and left her there. :(
Same thing with Daddy. So i think Chloe now more attached to us.
BUT, funnie thing is, she at some days refused to go home after a day at auntie's house.
I had it once 2-3weeks back when i went over to fetch her, she refuse to go up the car. Daddy had it 2-3 times. :P
But if we go there together, she is OK. :P

And since she had so much teeth now, I tried to start her weekend meals with rice with soup and fish meat. Started on 10/July with MIL's cooking. She took all of them. ;)

Her walking is so much stable now.
However her speech development is still lacking. Still stuck with Mama, Momomm, Papa, Up-Up.....
But she can understands me well.

Oh yes, she knows her body parts well already. For those that i Have taught her since bb times, she can now point them well. Actually, she could point them well few months back. :P
I haven't yet add "Knee", "Nail" into the list yet.
Y'day started to teach her Armpit and Tongue. Need more time for her to absorb.
